AbitibiBowater isn't prepared to post official quarterly result, but estimate large loss

AbitibiBowater has announced that they are not prepared to file their quarterly results on time, due to the significant time and effort required to prepare financial statements according to bankruptcy code and regulations.

However, AbitibiBowater did report that they expect to report a second quarter 2009 operating loss of approximately $285 million, which compares to an operating loss of approximately $63 million for the second quarter of 2008.
