AbitibiBowater plans to restart paper machine in Fort Frances

AbitibiBowater is planning to restart the #6 Paper Machine in Fort Frances, Ontario for 3 weeks of orders.

The restart will begin on September 8th.

Paper Machine #6 has been down since March 6th - except for one week of feasibility trials in July. The feasibility trials were aimed to see if the machine could be used to produce different types of paper, giving it has the potential to make its operation more viable down the road.

If more orders are received, the machine may run longer than 3 weeks.
