Bowater Mersey is closing for 5 weeks - 4th shutdown this year

AbitibiBowater is closing its co-owned Bowater Mersey paper mill in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia for 5 weeks beginning on August 29th, until October 4th.

This downtime will be the 4th shutdown at the mill this year.

175 employees will be out of work.
