Canfor shuts down Clear Lake lumber plant

On August 12, Canfor is closing its Clear Lake Sawmill south of Prince George, British Columbia.

15 employees will be affected. Some of the employees will be moved over to the sawmill operation. Others will receive a severance.

The Clear Lake sawmill produces finger-jointed lumber, but has been unable to make a profit.
