Kruger Inc. is extending the shutdown of the #3 paper machine at its Wayagamack Mill in Trois-Rivières, Quebec for a period of five weeks starting February 23rd.
The machine was shut down Dec. 31, and was initially planned to restart on February 23rd. Production is now planned to resume on March 31st.
The extended down time is due to ongoing weak market conditions such as the high value of the Canadian dollar and shrinking demand for directory paper.
