Mackenzie Forest Products closing near Sioux Lookout

Mackenzie Forest Products is closing its sawmill near Sioux Lookout, Ontario next Friday, and plans to be completely shut down within a week.

65 employees will be out of work.

Mill Manager Don Fenlon said there is "no money and no demand" in the lumber market and therefore the mill could remain closed well into next year or beyond.

This sawmill closed in October 2008, but was restarted in May of this year.
