Strike averted at Ainsworth in Barwick

A tentative agreement has been reached in Barwick, Ontario between the CEP and Ainsworth Engineered LP after 27 hours of non-stop bargaining.

Stephen Boon, CEP National Representative in Dryden said, “all I can say right now is the deal includes key language and monetary improvements and absolutely no concessions. All planned strike action is now officially suspended pending the outcome of a ratification vote."

CEP Local 324-99 will meet on Thursday evening to learn the specific details of the tentative agreement.
