The unions representing the workers of Tembec in Kapuskasing, Ontario have been asked to a meeting on Sunday at the request of the company.
The exact details of the request are not known, but it is known that the unions will hear the request, and then will be asked to vote.
The local Kapuskasing paper, The Northern Times, has written of a couple of different scenarios, the most common being that workers will be asked to vote between two choices: a 10% pay cut or 6 weeks off. Some are calling the six weeks a lockout.
