Over the next two weeks, more than 4,000 workers in Eastern Canada will have their chance to vote on a tentative deal reached between AbitibiBowater and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP) back in March.
Results of the ratification vote should be known by May 10th.
The tentative deal is said to include wage concessions to fund pension contributions for employees and 8,000 retirees, as well as a wage cut rumoured to be as high at the 10% wage cut recently accepted by workers at Kruger's Corner Brook mill.
