Ainsworth has new collective agreement with 100 Mile House workers

Ainsworth Lumber Co. Ltd. has reached a new 4 year labour agreement with the unionized workers at its mill in 100 Mile House, British Columbia.

Members of the Pulp, Paper and Woodworkers Union of Canada (PPWC), Local 9, ratified the agreement on Friday. The previous contract expired June 30th 2009.

The new labour agreement, which involves 125 employees at the 100 Mile House mill, was reached without any work stoppage or production disruption.

With the ratification of this agreement, the company now has new multi-year contracts in place with workers at all of its unionized facilities.
