Domtar is continuing to dismantle its dormant pulp mill north of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Shell Iogen had been interested in the facility to make it the home of the first cellulosic ethanol plant. However, these discussions have ended without a sale agreement.
The dismantling of the equipment has been on-going for some time, and will continue. The mill has been permanently closed since 2006.
After all the remaining assets have been demolished, the demolition of the facility will begin.
