German company is unable to take over Grand Falls-Windsor pulp mill

Lott Paper, from Germany, is in no position to follow through with their plans to take over the idled, former AbitibiBowater pulp mill in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland.

Lott Paper filed for bankruptcy protection in Germany on June 15.

The German government is covering the salaries of the workers at Lott Paper until the end of August.

Lott Paper makes high quality paperboard products in Germany and have been in business for over a century.
