Kenora Forest Products and the CEP Local 324 have reached a settlement.
The company will be forced to pay severance and termination to its workers. The workers will receive a 40% payment on September 11, 30% on December 31, and 30% on June 1, 2010.
The company had refused to pay 35 workers for severance and termination pay June 1.
The officials from the union are hopeful that the mill will restart next spring and all of the workers will be recalled.
