Western Forest Products reopened its Ladysmith sawmill on Monday after being idle for more than 2 years.
The sawmill is now producing construction lumber for the Chinese market.
30 workers have been recalled to work for at least 6 months to fill a Chinese order.
Western Forest Products has spent close to $2 million over the last few months to restart the mill.
