Works resumes at Tolko Industries' Armstrong plywood operation

mer 28 jui 2010 10:13:24 EDT

TolkoAfter a month long curtailment, workers are back at their jobs at Tolko Industries' Armstrong plywood operation in British Columbia.

“We’ve been able to focus on speciality products,” said Pat Donnelly, site manager, of the conditions that have allowed the operation to reopen.
“We’ve been able to move out some of our inventory and we’re replacing product.”

The curtailment was blamed on poor market conditions (especially in the U.S.) and high inventory levels.

Production will continue on a week-to-week basis.
